EUNICE KO is a founding partner of Podo Legal. Eunice has almost two decades of legal experience. She began her career as an in-house attorney assisting with securities regulatory work, before becoming a litigator. Her litigation experience includes complex litigation matters in diverse practice areas, including anti-trust, employment, IP, construction and business/contract disputes.
Eunice left law firm practice to work independently, focusing on supporting corporations, their legal departments and outside counsel with targeted consulting services. Co-founding Podo Legal allows Eunice to offer customized solutions for her clients’ needs. Her core competencies include: development and implementation of policies and procedures; risk assessment and analysis; internal investigations and responses to government inquiries; litigation support, including early case assessment and resolution; and evaluation and analysis of discovery strategies, including electronic data collection, management and review.
Eunice received her B.A. from UCLA and her J.D. from Golden Gate University, where she received the American Jurisprudence Award in Civil Litigation. She is a certified E-Discovery Specialist. Eunice is also fluent in Korean. Eunice lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and she spends her personal time in search of the tastiest street food and the best French pastries on the planet.
DEAN VANECH is a founding partner of Podo Legal. Dean has over 20 years of legal and management experience in diverse roles at in-house legal departments, top-tier law firms and legal service providers. His case management and project management background is primarily in litigation matters of all sizes. Dean also has deep experience managing the discovery phases of antitrust, securities, employment and intellectual property matters.
Prior to Podo Legal, Dean’s experience included departmental and firmwide law firm management; case and project management; oversight of electronic discovery for litigation matters; vendor engagement and management; and business development. Throughout his career, Dean’s passion has been to develop, implement and manage efficient solutions for his clients, always with an eye on delivering first-rate work while surpassing business goals. A strong leader with a commitment to team-building, he brings excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to his work, along with an unrivaled client service ethic.
Dean holds a double B.A. from Stanford University, where he graduated with distinction and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Dean lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. In his spare time, he can be found enjoying food, wine and travel domestically and abroad.
Eunice and Dean work directly on all Podo Legal projects. They assemble and lead teams, and engage and manage vendors, as needed, for larger projects.
